Mount Rushmore is a prominent U.S. monument carved from Six Grandfathers Mountain. Gutzon Borglum was the chief sculptor, assisted by Luigi Del Bianco. It features four presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Lincoln. Carving began in 1927 in Keystone, South Dakota, and ceased in 1941.
